Welcome Aboard!
The Dorchester Skipjack Committee always welcomes new volunteers to help with the sailing of the Nathan, with the maintenance of the skipjack, and with administrative duties.
The committee meets monthly to discuss, plan and make operational decisions. Topics include administrative/financial, boat maintenance, procedures, scheduling (the boat and crew) and marketing.
Volunteer Opportunities with the Nathan of Dorchester
- Reservations & Scheduling
We are in special need of one or more
individuals to help us with taking reservations, answering phone
and email requests and welcoming passengers at our public sails.
The phone and email portions can be done at home, but it takes
individuals with attention to details and some computer
experience. We are willing to work with you to find the best way
to use your help!
No experience needed. Training provided by Coast Guard licensed captain. Must be able to commit to enough time aboard the Nathan to become proficient – safety is our main concern!
Captains must have Masters Licenses with Sail Endorsements. All
are subject to Coast Guard drug testing regulations.

potential charter contacts, website development (obviously
needed!)
